The 27th Annual SCIP 2012 International Annual Conference & Exhibition will be held on May 14-17, 2012 at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown in historic Philadelphia, PA.
“This is the most comprehensive event for Strategic & Competitive Intelligence Professionals globally. Besides providing attendees the unique opportunity to follow the latest trends in CI-related topics and to network with key industry personalities, colleagues and service providers, it’s also the only event with attendants from academia!”
— Senior Manager, Strategic & Competitive Intelligence, PFIZER AUSTRALIA
It’s time to sharpen your skills and connect with other competitive intelligence executives and C-level professionals responsible for the strategic direction of their companies. Take advantage of the early bird registration and reserve your seat now for what competitive intelligence professionals agree is the largest international strategic and competitive intelligence conference offered globally, and the only one designed and implemented by a non-profit professional society. That means that cross-industry professionals will be represented as
speakers, thought leaders and participants as well as in the
exhibit hall where attendees can avail themselves of vendors and consulting services to meet all of their competitive and business intelligence needs. Whether your title and responsibilities include competitive intelligence, strategic planning, marketing or another related discipline, this is the most comprehensive event addressing the needs of C-level executives, managers, directors and analysts… everyone involved in gathering, analyzing and interpreting business intelligence to inform and guide their company’s decisions.
Five+ Career Tracks
Once again, sessions are presented in a multiple track format to allow participants to choose according to their role, interest or company needs. This year’s conference features five plus career tracks including:
1. Strategic Intelligence & Competitive Strategy
2. Competitive Intelligence Analysis
3. CI Tools
4. CI Organizational Models and Professional Growth
5. Active Industry Dialogues
6-8. Three new bonus tracks are being added this year
Two Learning Levels
In addition, many of the sessions are rated by learning level. Early Exposure sessions are geared toward new-to-CI professionals and/or those familiar with the fundamentals of competitive intelligence but perhaps spend the majority of their time working in other business disciplines within the organization. Veteran Exposure sessions are designed to meet the needs of more experienced professionals working in the CI function or responsible for developing and implementing corporate strategy. For sessions where no learning level rating has been provided, the subject matter is deemed appropriate for all professionals regardless of experience.
50+ Sessions
More than 50 sessions are being offered this year in a variety of formats including Interactive sessions and Executive Insight presentations.
30 Interactive Sessions
SCIP’s Interactive sessions are designed to engage participants in topic-relevant discussion and hands-on exercises. To keep it interesting and to encourage on-going dialogue between presenters and members of the audience, this format promises no PowerPoint presentations.
22 Executive Insight Presentations
Executive Insight presentations provide current case histories and best practices delivered by competitive intelligence and competitive strategy executives working within an organization and actively practicing CI.
Out of necessity, we sometimes limit audience size for conference sessions. As such, some sessions may sell out quickly. Early registration for the conference and for desired sessions is recommended to ensure a seat is reserved in your name. Below is a small sampling of the many sessions being offered this year:
- Linking Intelligence to Strategy with an Early Warning Indicators Framework (Track 2, Interactive Session, Veteran Exposure)
